Leadership in Care - National Programme
This exciting and inspiring programme, developed specifically for ward managers and team leaders, focuses on the development of the individual within the context of their role. The programme explores three main strands - the understanding of self; the understanding of teams and the understanding of organizations.
Who should attend?
The course is open to ward managers and team leaders working in any professional healthcare background. It is particularly
aimed at people considering the next step in their career and for those who want to consolidate and gain further insight into their role.

Leadership in Care programmes provide the practical skills and tools to help team leaders and ward managers lead their teams.
The aims of the programme include –

extending each participant’s understanding of self and their impact on others.

enhancing skills relating to managing and working in a team.

supporting the development of leadership styles and skills.

enabling participants to understand and experience coaching and its impact on the self and on others.

supporting participants in the process of exploring their career development and future.

The programmes are delivered as 6 day residential over 3 or 2 modules. It is expected that participants attend all sessions of each module.
