Leadership in Care in-house programmes are led and facilitated by Professor Hilary McCallion CBE and Peter Hasler - Independent Healthcare Consultants. Both have worked as Executive Directors of Nursing within the NHS and now focus on helping individuals achieve their potential through coaching and personal development programmes.
Since 2013, Leadership in Care has delivered in-house development programmes to NHS trusts and independent healthcare providers. These programmes may form part of an organisation’s leadership and organisational development strategy and have included board and service reviews, executive coaching as well as leadership development programmes at ward manager/team leader and senior manager/clinical lead level.
The Leadership in Care programmes differ from other leadership development programmes available because they:

Develop a toolkit of skills and techniques to help the individual in their role.

Develop an individual’s understanding of self, their emotional and political intelligence and personal impact.

Develop a greater understanding of their role within the NHS and their organisation.

All programmes are facilitated by individuals (Peter and Hilary) who understand healthcare, the challenges and opportunities and the contribution an individual can make to their organisation.

The programmes are unique and flexible to an organisation and the commissioner determines the requirements of each programme.

In-house programmes include engagement with Senior Trust staff and participants.

All programmes are evaluated using at least two methods (our Ward Manager/Team Leader programmes use three methods).
